Use the trip for more than one health priority
Add smaller procedures that are costly or slow at home, without planning a second international journey.
Varicose vein care
Add provider-assessed laser or thermal treatment to the same trip when symptoms and suitability support it. Final price depends on the plan.
Dental care
Arrange a professional clean, polish and scaling in one visit, subject to dental assessment.
Dermatology
Use the trip for a mole review, targeted screening or a minor procedure when the clinician considers it appropriate.
TCM & acupuncture
Explore acupuncture or traditional recovery support alongside the main pathway, where the hospital team considers it suitable.
* Indicative prices. Final cost depends on the treatment plan and written quotation.
The hospital handles medicine. We make the journey work
Records, appointments, language support and handover stay connected from first review to your return home.
Hear the medical conversation clearly
Medical-background interpreters support consultations, procedures and follow-up so questions, decisions and instructions are understood in both languages.
Coordination built around clinical workflows
We connect international patient expectations with the practical systems used by Chinese public hospitals.
Fast-track hospital access
We coordinate scheduling and specialist routing, with suitable pathways often moving from estimate to treatment in about two weeks.
Know the commitments before you travel
Review the written estimate, inclusions, exclusions and cancellation terms before making a payment or booking the trip.
* Timing depends on records review, hospital availability and medical assessment.
* Final availability and terms depend on insurer confirmation, eligibility and policy issuance.
One clear pathway, from first review to your return home
Five coordinated stages connect hospital review, written costs, travel preparation, treatment and the records you take home.
Free consultation & provider review
Share your diagnosis, records, goals and travel window. We check whether a suitable hospital pathway is available and organise the information needed for provider review.
Written estimate & service agreement
Review the expected cost, inclusions, exclusions and items still subject to hospital assessment. You sign and make any agreed prepayment only after the scope is clear.
Pre-departure plan
Receive the appointment plan, records checklist, intake requirements, arrival instructions and bilingual contact route. You arrange flights and accommodation independently.
Arrival & hospital assessment
The provider examines you, confirms or adjusts the proposed plan, explains consent and final hospital costs. You decide whether to proceed after the clinical discussion.
Treatment, recovery & records handover
Complete the agreed hospital pathway with bilingual support where scoped. We then coordinate translation and delivery of prescriptions, treatment records and follow-up materials within about 10-15 working days.
* Example timeline. Final dates depend on hospital availability, assessment and recovery. Translated records are typically delivered within 10-15 working days after documents are received.

Understand hospital quality, complications, records and follow-up before deciding whether to travel.
We match the condition to the department, not simply to a famous hospital name. We review specialty strength, relevant case volume, doctor experience, equipment, appointment availability and the practical follow-up route, then confirm the proposed provider and costs in writing before you commit.
Cataract surgery and RLE use established lens-replacement techniques. Although no intraocular procedure is risk-free, serious complications are uncommon. Published studies report postoperative endophthalmitis around 0.02% after cataract surgery and retinal detachment around 0.2% after lens replacement. Eligible MediConnex patients may also receive medical complication cover at no additional charge once a policy is issued, including eligible treatment back home. Benefits can be up to $50,000 and remain available for up to 270 days after the approved procedure, subject to policy terms and claims approval.
* Individual risk varies. Final insurance availability and terms depend on insurer confirmation and policy issuance.
We organise the reports available within your pathway, such as operative notes, imaging, prescriptions and discharge instructions, with English translation where scoped. You receive the records directly so they can be shared with your doctor, optometrist or specialist at home.
Tell us as soon as possible. We will explain the options in writing and coordinate with the hospital where dates can be adjusted. MediConnex refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy, while hospital reservation fees and committed third-party costs may follow the provider's own terms.
Our signed Shanghai hospitals include the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University, Renji Hospital and Xinhua Hospital. Other routes may be assessed when a different city or specialty offers a better clinical match. The recommendation depends on the condition, department strength, doctor experience, timing and travel practicality.
That depends on your passport, route and the entry rules in force when you travel. Some patients qualify for ordinary visa-free entry or visa-free transit, while others need a visa in advance. We help identify the likely route, but you remain responsible for confirming the requirements with the relevant Chinese authority before booking travel.
